For The Record
Greetings!
I have some great news! I have joined the AccessData team as the Director of Litigation Support Training. I am very excited about this opportunity and hope you will be as well.
As you are already aware from our past newsletters, AccessData acquired CT Summation in July. AccessData brings the forensic experience and the tools to support it while Summation provides the review platform (both in-house or hosted). Subsequently, AccessData can offer solutions for a litigation team from a legal hold through production. Within the first two months of the acquisition, AD Summation released Version 3.1 with a variety of enhancements. It is important to note that over fifty percent of AccessData's staff is devoted to development of the products. I am anxious to see Summation quickly take a strong lead as the preferred litigator's tool.
Historically, Summation has never "directly" provided qualified training with a consistent message and supporting materials but has instead relied on Summatin Certified Trainers, ("SCT'") in the field. My team and I will be working on changing that model by offering a variety of training techniques to meet every law firm's need. You will continue to receive newsletters and we will also continue to update Summ it Up as the product is enhanced.
Additionally, you will benefit from opportunities to participate in courses with hands on tools to assist you with the new processes of handling discovery, your shifting role and the new tasks associated with litigation support. Whether you have the infrastructure of a litigation support department or you are assuming the role with a different title, the tasks are there and still need to be accomplished in order to handle eDiscovery and still represent your clients well.
With the support of my AccessData team, we'll be able to meet your litigation support needs from the beginning to end. Your loyalty and trust in my services through the years has been very much appreciated. Please join me as we continue this journey and continue to incorporate technology, develop processes and offer better practices to your litigation workflow. If you have any questions, you can reply to this newsletter or reach me at mkovitch@accessdata.com.
